Can any young person participate?
The programs are developed in educational centers with which we have collaboration agreements. It is the school that decides to participate, and the program is aimed at groups of students within its educational structure. A young person or a family cannot enroll directly.
If you are a teacher or head of a center interested, contact us here.
Why was the Foundation created?
We created Fundación Exit in the year 2000 as an independent, non-profit initiative, with the aim of fighting against the early school dropout rate of socially vulnerable young people.
It arises as a response to the inequalities of opportunities that affect many young people, with the objective of improving their future possibilities.
Our approach is based on connecting the educational world with the business world to offer guidance, training and real work experiences.
In this way, we seek to facilitate labor insertion and help each young person to develop his or her potential.
Which young people do our programs target?
At Fundación Exit, our programs are aimed at socially vulnerable young people who need support to continue their training or access employment.
We work with them in three main areas:
- Orientation: with students in Basic Vocational Training and PFI (Training and Insertion Programs), who are usually between 16 and 21 years old and are at risk of dropping out of school early.
- Specialization: with young people in vocational training, to help them improve their skills and employability.
- Insertion: through the Incorpora Program of the “la Caixa” Foundation, which facilitates access to the labor market and accompaniment in the search for employment.which facilitates access to the labor market and accompaniment in the search for employment.
Our objective is to accompany each young person according to his or her educational stage, so that he or she can continue his or her education or improve his or her chances of finding a job.
What does it mean that you are a foundation?
Being a foundation means putting all our resources, knowledge and mobilization capacity at the service of a social cause. We do not work to generate economic profit, but to generate opportunities and a positive impact on people’s lives.
We are governed by a board of trustees, which oversees the fulfillment of our mission. We act with transparency and accountability to society and the public administration.
