Dear friends of Fundación Exit,

One more year, at Fundación Exit we would like to share the progress and lessons learned throughout this academic year. We do so with the firm belief that only through collaboration and collective commitment can we continue creating real opportunities for young people in situations of social vulnerability.

Early school leaving remains one of the major challenges facing our education system. Although the rate continues to decline, Spain still ranks among the lowest in the European Union. Behind every young person lies a story. Many come from complex family backgrounds — with low incomes or migratory histories — that limit their future even before it has begun. This reality not only affects their personal and professional development, but also calls us to action as a society.

This year, we have taken an important step with the implementation of the Guidance Programme in three cities — Madrid, Barcelona and Seville — supporting over 200 young people. Following last year’s pilot, we have continued to design and expand this model, which connects young people with the world of work in a direct and meaningful way. The involvement of companies and corporate volunteering has been key: when a professional becomes a mentor, learning takes on a whole new dimension.

Our goal is clear: for young people to believe in their potential — to realise that, with the right support and tools, they can build a different future, one that allows them to shine.

Over the past year, we have relied on the invaluable support of many individuals and organisations who have been fundamental pillars along our journey — from partner companies and educational centres to our dedicated Board of Trustees, Advisory Council and the committed professional team at Exit.
