Exploring, learning and growing: more than 200 young people from Barcelona and Madrid have taken part in the Coach Project this term
Over the past few weeks, at Fundación Exit we have held the closing sessions of the editions of the Coach Project corresponding to the first term of the academic year, in both Barcelona and Madrid. This project has a clear objective: to support young people in situations of social vulnerability so they can discover their strengths, develop key skills and move forward in their orientation towards the professional future, always accompanied by volunteer professionals from committed companies, who guide them in a first exploration of the labour market.
In total, this term we have had the participation of 223 young people, 222 volunteers, 32 partner companies and 15 educational centres, across 7 editions in both cities.
Madrid: support, confidence and new horizons
In Madrid, three editions were carried out this term: one multi-company Coach Project edition and two Leader Coach formats —one with Endesa and another with Lilly— involving 92 young people and 92 volunteers in total.
During the 37th edition of the multi-company Coach Project, 64 young people took part, receiving support from 58 volunteers from companies such as Adecco, Fundación AltamarCAM, AXA de Todo Corazón, Capgemini, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Esade, IBM, KPMG España, Motorola Solutions, New Line Events, PwC España, Fundación SACYR, Serveo, Sika and Vincci Hoteles.
Beyond formal learning, the young participants highlighted the value of trust and personalised support, essential drivers of their personal and professional development.
Meanwhile, the Leader Coach session with Endesa, involving students from IES Francisco Tomás y Valiente, included 15 young participants, while the session with Lilly brought together 13. Both experiences focused on discovering the business world and developing key competencies such as communication, emotional management, teamwork and proactivity.

Barcelona: celebration, role models and opportunities
In Barcelona, four editions were carried out this term: two multi-company Coach Project editions and two Leader Coach sessions —one with Banc Sabadell and another with Vileda— involving 131 young people and 132 volunteers.
The two multi-company editions gathered 100 young participants, accompanied by volunteers from companies such as AC Marca, Adecco, AXA de Todo Corazón, Grupo Bimbo, Boehringer Ingelheim, Capgemini, Deutsche Bank, Esade, KPMG España, PwC España and Volotea. These initiatives also received support from the Fons d’Acció Social de la Sagrada Família, the Diputació de Barcelona and Fundación “La Caixa”.
“One of the things we take away from this project is self-confidence, the value of teamwork and the empathy shown by all the coaches,” shared one of the young participants. We celebrate their effort, their progress and the motivation that will accompany them as they move forward in their professional development.
The Leader Coach sessions welcomed 16 young people at Banc Sabadell and 15 at Vileda, where volunteers acted as positive role models and guided them in their self-awareness process.
During the closing session, the transformative role of volunteers was highlighted: they not only share knowledge about the labour market, but also offer a close and human perspective that strengthens each young person’s potential.

A collective commitment to young talent
The Coach Project once again shows that collaboration between social organisations, educational centres and companies opens real pathways for young people in situations of social vulnerability.
Thanks to the commitment of volunteers and partner companies, we continue creating real opportunities for these young people to discover their potential, find inspiring role models and advance towards their professional future. Together, we can transform lives and build a fairer society full of opportunities. Will you join this change?
