Letter from the GM

We firmly believe that change is only possible when companies, educational institutions, and organizations move forward together toward the same goal.

GENERAL DIRECTOR OF FUNDACIÓN EXIT

Dear friend of Fundación Exit,

There are anniversaries that invite celebration. And there are anniversaries that also compel us to ask ourselves what legacy we want to leave and what future we want to build.

In the 2024/25 academic year, at Fundación Exit we have celebrated 25 years of commitment to young people—25 years working to ensure that thousands of young people in vulnerable situations can access what should never depend on their starting point: a real opportunity for the future.

Looking back fills us with gratitude. Over this time, we have supported more than 15,000 young people, helping them regain motivation, continue their education, and take their first steps into the working world. We have seen, time and again, that when a young person finds support, role models, and opportunities, it not only changes their personal trajectory: it also transforms the future of an entire community.

But this anniversary is not only an opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved. It is, above all, an invitation to look ahead with clarity and ambition.

Because the context changes. And with it, so do the challenges.

Today, we know that many young people are still being left out of educational and career pathways that should be within their reach. And we also know that entire sectors of our economy face a growing difficulty in finding generational renewal and skilled technical talent. This reality concerns us all.

That is why, in this new stage, Fundación Exit aims to take a decisive step with its new strategic plan: to make Dual Vocational Education and Training (Dual VET) accessible also to students in Basic VET, opening new doors for young people with great potential who are too often made invisible by the system.

We are not only talking about inclusion. We are talking about national vision, business competitiveness, and social cohesion.

We are convinced that there is a major opportunity to connect young talent with the real needs of the productive sector, especially in those industries where the imbalance between supply and demand for professionals is already a structural concern. But to turn this opportunity into real impact, we need more than good intentions: we need commitment, partnerships, and shared responsibility.

It will be essential to strengthen collaboration between schools, companies, and Fundación Exit, building effective bridges between the classroom and employment. It will also be necessary for different areas within organizations—People, Sustainability, and Business—to come together, because supporting these young people cannot be seen only as a social action: it must also be understood as a strategic investment in the future.

It will also be key to involve SMEs, which are an essential part of the value chain and often represent the natural environment for the employment of these technical profiles.

We know the challenge is complex. But we also know that major change begins when different people and organizations decide to move in the same direction.

At Fundación Exit, we have spent 25 years proving that this change is possible. And today, we want to continue doing so with more determination than ever.

If, after reading these lines, you believe your company can contribute to this challenge—or you know an organization that might be interested in getting involved—we invite you to take a step forward and contact us.

Because if these 25 years of history have been possible, it is thanks to the commitment of people and organizations like you.

And because we are convinced of something that continues to guide our work every day: talent is distributed randomly; opportunities are not.

Help us change this reality.

Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us.
